gym/customer service vent
ok, so i've found a little extra money in my budget. i ws thinking that i can use a little of it for a gym membership because my fat azz can use it... seriously.
so, i called the closest gym to my house, which happens to be brand new.
here is how the call went:
me: i'm calling to find out about what you offer for children.
him: you mean babysitting?
me: no. i'm sorry. i mean membership-wise
him: oh, that would be the sales team and they don't come in until 9am (it was 9:01am)
me: it is nine, is there not anyone in the entire gym who can answer my question?
him: no, lady. you want them to call you, or what?
me: i'll call back, later. thank you
ok, so if the economy sucks and everyone is scrambling for a dollar, why would you mistreat someone who is looking to spend money at your establishment?????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ok, i'm over it.
in a few minutes, i'll be calling back and asking to speak with a manager.

I dont get it either..
last nite we went to IHOP to grab some dinner and it was packed. Normally we go on fridays 6:30-7pm and its never that crowded.
The server girl said the wait was like 15 min b/c there was an area of the restaurant they couldnt use b/c they had no servers. there were so many pple waiting, it was at least a 25 minute wait.
Umm...thats just piss poor management when you dont have enough waitresses for a weekend nite. during the week I can see cutting back..but friday & saturdays are probably their busiest time.
I would think in this economy you would make sure people wont leave your establishment.
we live in levittown PA by the way..
