Re: has anyone seen a rash like this. UPDATED WITH ANOTHER PICTURE !
I think the dr. would've know if it were ringworm, we do have 1 indoor cat, Should I get a 3rd opinion?
he said it was a food allergy right off the bat, he knew, didn't even have to touch it, he was an older dr. , a partner in the practice, so I trust him. He has seen it before, the steriods took the red out already.
hmmm, looks fungal alot of people said, I wonder... I am so confused, don't know if I should look further into this or not.

Is it only on her legs? or is it all over?
tinea incognito
Basically if you treat ringworm with a steroid instead of a antifungal the rash can change...
The rash is presenting in a circular pattern...which is why Im cautious to say it's Eczema..however there is a type of eczema that presents itself this way...discoid eczema.

I definitely think it looks like hives. My kids excema is dry and patchy looking. that rash is "plump" and raised. Looks like hives to me. The steroid should work but you should also try benadryl Now also figure out what she had or touched

Re: has anyone seen a rash like this. UPDATED WITH ANOTHER PICTURE !
in pics where he is wearing orange it def looks like eczema (my DD has it) in the original post it doesn't look like eczema at all. I think it's a good idea to go to a pediatric dermatologist. Are you in LI? There is one his name is dr. Kristal and he is supposed to be the best. Good luck and hope it goes away soon

Re: has anyone seen a rash like this. UPDATED WITH ANOTHER PICTURE !
The picture in orange isn't my child, a poster wanted me to see her child's rash
If it doesn't get better I will go to dermatologist, for now I will stick with what her ped. said about the food allergy, the steriod is working right now, the red is going away.
thanks all I will keep you posted.
