Has anyone seen this video? Swine Flu related
I really don't know what to do anymore... get the shot or not... I know this is outdated material however, I still don't like the idea of having a vaccine injected that I will have no idea what the side effects will be...
If you eat very healthy, take your supplements, and have no underlying conditions you should be fine right??
Edited for update: After speaking with my Nurse friends, they all tell me that it's just a big hype! Don't be afraid people! The govenment is trying to make money off this thing. I made up my mind, I will not get this vaccine or the flu shot. This "swine flu" stuff is BS!!!!!!! I once had the regular flu shot and it made me sick - every other time without the shot, I was FINE.
Caption under the video:CBS " 60 MINUTES" documentary on the swine flu epidemics of 1976 in the U.S. It went on air only once and was never shown again. Please look at this, it talks by itself.
What are your thoughts after seeing this video? Swine Flu 1976 & Propaganda

I am so upset about this too. I am not sure what do re my 10 mth old DD. I just watched and yes, I am afraid of a reaction (even to the reg flu shot, which it can happen also).
I got the flu shot once years ago and I was literally feverish/flu like on and off for 2 mths. It was from the shot, it was not joke and I vowed I would never take one again. But I feel so pressured, as if it's do or die...and this video showed the same thing, same things we are hearing now.

same thing happened to me.. well, after I was talking to my nurse friends.. I am no longer concerned. I trust them more than doctors anyway.

I will most likely get it when it comes out. Got my flu shot last week. I'm pregnant but also have lots of allergies, so I get sick very easily. I get the flu shot every year and never had a problem, in fact I haven't been sick since I started getting it. I commute to the city and can't risk getting swine flu. Every doctor I've spoken to has suggested getting it.

Right you won't get the flu. I dont think I had the flu. But I know I had a flu like reaction (normal) from the shot. What concerned me was that it lasted almost 2 mths. I was very worried it wasn't going to go away. So to me, I felt more ill for longer than if I would have even possibly got the flu anyway. KWIM?

My thoughts after watching this video:
I feel that our current situation is vastly different from the one in 1976. First off, this is already a documented WORLDWIDE Pandemic. It is not a few isolated cases on a military base. It is not speculation - it is a fact. This strain is different than the one in the 70's and the way vaccines are made now is very different. Not to mention that there is always a risk of Guillain Barre with any flu shot.
That being said I do think that if you are a healthy adult you will "probably" be fine. If I did not have small children I would not get the vacicne unless I was asthmatic or something. However, for those at risk segments of the population (for instance I have a newborn and a toddler) then I do think that H1n1 presents a real threat to their health.
I think it is irresponsible to say that Swine Flu is BS, especially considering that in some people it has caused serious illness and death. I do not think any illness that can cause death is BS. I do not think it is cause for mass hysteria but certainly not BS.
I do not think that some anecdotal observations by a few nurses is dispositive of the severity or lack thereof of the swine flu.
I also do not think this is some worldwide conspiracy to make money.

my 29 year old otherwise healthy cousin died three weeks ago due to swine flu. i can assure you that that is not BS.
