Have you taken your convertible car seat on a plane?
Was trying to figure out how many parents have taken their convertible carseat on the plane with them to strap in their little ones? Wondering about this for kids 12-18 months.

Re: Have you taken your convertible car seat on a plane?
We did as well and DD did sleep a little, although not as much as I thought she would.
Just be aware, when we brought it on, all the flight attendants looked at us like we had 3 heads. Only one flight attendant on the whole plane knew we had to put it in the window seat, and several actually tried to make me gate check it.

We've flown with ours, but always check it.
Honestly, our DS sits nicely and it is too much of a PITA to carry. And let's face it, if the plane is going to go down, a carseat won't matter

We've done it. On the trip there we buckled it into both planes since we had to switch in the middle. On the way back we gate checked it on both planes. My DD was up the whole time loving the experience so the seat didn't help us at all.

We have and DS liked sitting in his own seat. It wasn't a big deal to go on the plane with it.

Re: Have you taken your convertible car seat on a plane?
I brought mine several times. I was glad I did. DD was too small to sit in the seat by herself and too active to sit on my lap the whole flight. Only once did I have to check it and hold her because there were no available seats.
She slept almost the whole flight in her carseat. I'm sure that if she had been in the regular seat that she wouldn't have slept at all.

Re: Have you taken your convertible car seat on a plane?
We've been on trips with two Britax Boulevards! It takes a little time to set them up, but it's much safer, and it isn't just to protect them from a crash, it's turbulence, takeoff and landings that are the dangerous parts.
http://www.cnn.com/2009/US/08/04/plane.turbulence/index.html Any baby in a car seat on this flight would have been fine. I don't think there were any infants on this particular flight, thankfully, but it could happen at any time, and I'd rather be safe than sorry. If it happened once, it can certainly happen again.

Re: Have you taken your convertible car seat on a plane?
We always take a car seat on planes. I fele much better with her in one, plus she'll actually sleep in her seat. She wouldn't sleep in a regular seat or sitting on my lap. Now that she's over 2, it's not an issue - we just get her her own seat.
