Healthy Sleep Habits readers-do you agree with this?? re: teething
i love this book and agree with a lot of it. but one thing that keeps repeating in my mind is dr. weissbluth's comment on how teething does not cause night waking do you agree with that? DS seems to be teething right now and has lately been getting up at almost EVERY hour for the past 4 nights. just wondering if your DC woke while teething too? i know DD used to wake up b.c of it for sure.

I know when I am in pain it can wake me up, so I am sure it can wake them up too

Abby has 4 teeth coming in simultaneously and hasn't STTN for weeks. Before now, she usually did.

Re: Healthy Sleep Habits readers-do you agree with this?? re: teething
My 10 month old is finally teething. Her left bottom tooth has broken through the skin and her right one is just starting to.
It has not affected her sleep.
I have to say though, that I'm very lucky in the sleep department with my DD. She loves her sleep and even as sick as she was last week, she still STTN. And it doesn't seem the teeth are keeping her from sleeping either.

The only time my DD woke up in the middle of the night was when her teeth were actually cutting.

Re: Healthy Sleep Habits readers-do you agree with this?? re: teething
My 4 month old just cut two teeth in the last week and she is still STTN... that being said I absolutely believe that teething can in many cases cause a baby to wake throughout tonight. In fact my ped was shocked to hear that DD was still sttn despite having cut two teeth.

It affects my kids both at night and for naps But they tend to get 4 teeth at a time...Declan just turned one and has 13 or 14 teeth already
