My 2 month old has a cold!
I am so upset and distraught. We all have colds! DS1 who is 22 months has had a runny nose and running a low temp. I'm so afraid it's going to turn into an ear infection. Now DS2 has a runny nose, and has been sneezing and I feel so bad for him. My heart is breaking. He's so tiny and he's so uncomfortable. Please tell me he's going to be ok and get better soon. Anyone have any advice? TIA

Re: My 2 month old has a cold!
It will be ok Just keep an eye on his temp. Dd has had about 5 colds in her 7 months of being alive. It sucks and can last a long time but they do get better. It takes dd about 2.5 weeks for her nose to dry up and 3 weeks to kick the cough. If he spikes a fever (over 100.5) I would put a call into the ped. For now use steam baths to help break up the gunk. Sit in the bathroom with the hot water on in the shower and pat his back to help break it up. Also use the aspirator. I love the battery one that plays music. Finally either sleep in a recliner or put something under the mattress to boost his head when sleeping. I hope everyone feels better soon

Re: My 2 month old has a cold!
Thanks for the replies. They made me feel better. It seems we are all on the mend. Although I am still worried about DS1 getting an ear infection (last time he had a cold, he seemed to be getting better then he wouldn't sleep and it turned out to be an ear infection) my little guy stopped sneezing and doesn't sound as congested. We let him sleep on his bouncer all night and that seemed to help. Thanks again!
