HELP!! milk related =(
My ds just turned one and we have been trying to transition to milk. He is not having it, and he did drink his formula with no problem. I am still trying 4 bottles a day but might be thinking that this is the problem. Maybe it's too much? However he is loving his table food!
Can anyone tell me when they give their child milk? and how much?

Re: HELP!! milk related =(
we first cut down to 3 6oz bottles... then I just offered sippies and if he didn't want them he didn't get them
I added a yogurt to his snacks, and added cheese to something he was eating and that's really they all need in terms of calcium. As long as he's eating balanced and complete meals, he doesn't need a lot of milk.
But honestly its up to you, I don't think here is any medical reason to switch to milk. You can stay on formula a very long time.
My gripe with formula is that I feel the quality of the milk used is terrible. I rather give him organic milk and put vitamins in it.

Re: HELP!! milk related =(
I give milk first thing in AM, after lunch(before nap) and before bed.
You can also transition to enfagrow...its nutrient packed like formula but taste in between milk and formula....

Re: HELP!! milk related =(
My DD just turned 1 last week. She is taking 3 8oz. bottles a day. Morning, noon, night.
3 meals a day (table food).
Dr said at this age between 20-24oz. is recomended.
Drop one bottle I bet he'll drink it right up.
