Help! Need a 3 row SUV! Suggestions?
We are currently TTC #3 and my lease is up in just over a month. Im looking for a 3 row SUV with easy access to the 3rd row. Preferably with captains chairs for the 2nd row and a 3 seat bench in the back.. NO MINIVAN for me! I've looked and so far the only thing Im loving is the GMC Acadia, but it might be just out of our price range. Any suggestions for us?

Just want to say that my dad has the GMC Acadia and when we were in LI in july we drove it to rochester and fell in love with that truck! If we could afford it, we'd get it.

I got the Honda Pilot in March and I love it! So comfy, great ride, roomy, plenty of storage space. It is a great SUV!
ETA: Missed the captains chairs part. The Pilot doesn't have them. Sorry

The Chevy Traverse has 3 rows, with an option to have second row captains chairs.
We test drove it when we were shopping for a new car. It drove nice. We ended up going with a 2 row truck though.

I just got a Honda Pilot and I do so far enjoy it. However it doesnt have captain seats.

My friend just purchased a Mazda CX9 & she loves it.
We have this one too - it IS a great car, but not very practical with three kids. It's really squished and I can't imagine even fitting a carseat in the third row.

I am lookiing to get the acadia when my lease is up in Oct. I am going to go down there and talk to someone soon becuase on the website there is a $339 a month lease offer on the cheapest model but that one only comes with the 2-3-3 seating set up. So I am curious how much more for the 2-2-3 set up. Good luck!

We have a Buick Enclave. It has captains chairs in the second row and a full size 3rd row.

I have the commander - and love it - but it doesn't have captains chairs in the 2nd row  , I have fit three car seats (2 britax and the graco one) in the back though, if it helps...

Love my MDX, but it doesn't have captain's chairs.
I think I've only seen captain's chairs in the Acadia.

I have an 08 Acadia with captains chairs in the 2nd row to access the 3rd row. The child who sits in the back row would have to be self sufficient because to access it with 2 carseats in place would be really cramped. If I had 3 kids I'd go minivan...nothing else out there functions as well. While I do like my Acadia I've had some serious transmission issues with it. I will be moving on to a foreign company when my lease is up.

I have the Chevy Traverse & love it! We bought the one with the captain chairs in the middle & bench seat in back. It's easier with this set up for carseat purposes. I have a 2 & 3 year old & If I bought the one with the 2 bench seats I would have to take out the car seat to have someone get in back. I highly recommend the Traverse :)

what are captain's chairs?
I have an MDX, and while it's fabulous, the 3rd row is a joke -
I am 5'2" and I am miserably uncomfortable back there ........and when the "3rd row" is up, there is next to nothing re: trunk space.
