Hep B Vaccine for Newborns..
DS is 4 weeks old and got his first shot today! He has been sleeping ever since. This is definaely more sleep than usual for him, he is usually up during the day a lot more. Is this a bad sign that hell be awake all night, or is this a typical reaction to the shot?

Re: Hep B Vaccine for Newborns..
With my kids, any shot usually made them sleepy.
As far as waking him, I would wake him up in a little while only because I know that with my kids, it would disrupt their nighttime sleeping pattern.

With DS I always knew that when he got a shot that day that it would be a difficult night. It's normal for them to sleep a bit after a shot - wouldn't worry.

Mine has had shots twice, and both times he slept a lot afterwards. I did not wake him either time, and he slept through the night both times.
