High Fever - WWYD?
Tuesday we had a follow up at the ENT. DD has fluid in her ears but no infection. That night she came down with a fever - in the 101 range.
Wednesday during the day it was 102.4. We went to the Ped and they said the fluid had not turned into an infection and that there was nothing wrong with her. We put DD to bed that night and I checked in on her at 10:30 pm and her temp was 105.2. We called the Ped and he said that since she didn't have any more symptoms and since they saw her that day to just wait it out and make her comfortable. They said if the fever persisted until Saturday to call back.
Thursday morning it was around 102 and it seemed to have broken during the day and she had no fever by the early evening.
This morning she woke up and has 104.2. She had some milk and went back to sleep which she never does.
WWYD? Should I call the doctor just for them to tell me to wait til tomorrow or would you call anyway?
She is 19 months old.
Thanks!

Re: High Fever - WWYD?
I would call the ped. I had horrible ear problems when I was little. My mom would bring me to the dr. when I had a fever, the dr would check me and say no infection. The next day or so it wold turn into an infection.
ETA: since her fevers are getting so high, alternate tylenol and motrin to keep it down so she is more comfortable.

I would call the doc but try some at-home stuff too. Have you given her a cool bath? Try that - it helped with DD last week and that's something a hospital would do anyway
Hope she feels better

You might have called already, but I would call. It's been 3 days, I would want them to check her out today, especially since it's a long weekend and they might not be able to see her again until Tuesday.
