I personally love her - but I'm not sure if she'd win - she's such a polarizing figure.
I really like JOE BIDEN (Long time Senator from Delaware) who's also running - but is really biding his time to see if the shine comes off Clinton and Obama anytime over the next year.
I agree - I think she is too polarizing to win.
I'm also a Joe Biden fan and hope he is able to get the Dem nom.

Re: Hillary Clinton
Just had a funny thought...if Hilary gets elected, then Bill will be the "First Man" ....lol...and will be living in his old stomping grounds...it's just funny.

Yay for Joe Biden! I think he's the only person on either side who has actually articulated a plan for Iraq (he proposed dividing the country into sectarian territories - Sunni, Shiite, Kurds, etc.) and while some people might not agree with his idea - at least he's coming up with something other than staying the course!!!
I'm so frustrated that he is not being talked about at all - but I guess he figures there's so much time between now and the Iowa primary that he should lay low for a while.

will be the same ones to vote for Clinton for the same reasons... just b/c of the name. jmho
alot of people think she is the best senator NY ever had- myself included
I happened to think she made Bill the great president he was
I agree. The only thing she failed on in my eyes was the intro of the HMO nightmare.

Well, he hasn't officially announced yet, has he? He is smart to wait - given all the press with Hillary and Obama. John Edwards entered the race, but I've barely heard a thing on him.... Timing is key!!

I also agree with this. The Dems need to put up a more neutral candidate who can win!

Better believe it - and the politicians will be playing along with the demographics as well.
Flying around we'll hear:
Is the US ready for a female president? Hispanic? Black? Another Catholic? etc...
I could only hope that a candidate does this - that would be the red card waving - DO NOT ELECT ME!
I am happy that an intelligent woman has a real chance of getting on the ticket. i think a real change has to be made in this country. While I think she is well qualified (way more than Bush jr, but way less than Bush Sr.), I do think she is riding Chuck Shumer's coattails and her personality is a bit harsh, but then i think that maybe world leaders need to be tough like that.
I'm just happy that the marble ceiling is cracking.

Personally, I like her and I think she would do a GREAT job as president...
She has already been on the inside of the presidency and knows what to expect and how things work...Plus she was a large part of the reason that Pres. Clinton was as successful a president as he was.
GOOD FOR HER!!!
See you are the second that said this before I stopped reading the other responses, and I just cant understand how you think the Clinton years were successful.. In all of the research Post 9/11 it pins Clinton for letting Osama Bin Laden go, and for not heading to the warning, and for prior knowledge of binLadens PLAN to use aircrafts as missiles. To me that was the most devastaing presidency in our history.
Another Clinton.. No thanks.

that is not 100% correct
Bush also had all this knowlege for the 8 months before 9/11 and since 9/11 and has spent his time destablizing the middle east instead of finding OBL

Not defending Bush either here, but how long was Clinton in office, and he did squat.. Also, Clinton HAD osama, but let him go. I personally don't believe that if Bush had him, he would have let him go. JMHO

He announced that he's running on Meet the Press - and he had announced it a number of months ago on the Daily Show - but I dont know if he's filed the papers yet for an exploratory committee. . . You're right - Timing is everything and he certainly knows more about running for elected office than I do - I just like him a lot and think he's very bi-partisan. He got into trouble around 15 years ago (i think) cause his speechwriter plagiarised a speech and Biden delivered it without knowing it - that knocked him off the presidential contenders list for a few years - but enough time has gone by and other politicians have done far worse - so I really hope he gets a shot.

Clinton was about to drop a bomb on him- but he didn't b/c republics critized him for doing it - as a way to take the heat of the Monica L Scandal
I wish the Monica L scandal was the worst we had seen with Bush- I don't think you need me to go thru the list do you? Bush should have been impeached along time ago

The point I was trying to make is simple. He let the ball slip- no matter what. Had he not, maybe the bush admin. would have only had to deal with Monica L scandals. And like I said before- another Clinton.. No thanks. I am not willing to let that ball slip again.

Clinton, Bush Sr. and Bush Jr. have been blamed for Osama. The Taliban got their weapons from Reagan and Bush (when they were fighting the Russians in Afgh.) and members of the Taliban were granted visas to this country under Bush Sr. Clinton tried to get Bin Laden a few times and failed - AND all of Clinton's memos and warnings about intelligence gathered about Bin Laden were sent on to Bush Jr. It's hard to forget Condi Rice dismissing the memo that alerted the Bush Jr. administration to the plan of hijacking planes (at the time of the memo it was also suggested that people look into the numbers of suspects taking flying lessons in florida) saying that the memo was too vague - when in fact the memo basically read "Our fear is that Al Quaeda will try and use a plane for a weapon in the US)
I'm very partisan but I can't just blame Bush Jr. for 9/11 - NUMEROUS presidents with different foreign policies are to blame. Clinton too - but he cant be blamed for everything.

Some would argue that Clinton inherited Bush Sr's mistakes...
I like Hillary - she's intelligent, well-spoken and seems to be working hard for upstate NY (which needs it). I'm curious to see who will win the Dem ticket though, there are quite a few good contenders.
