Re: Holiday Traditions Thread - Please Come On In
I am crashing cuz this post is so fun!
When my nieces were little, I used to take Quaker oats & put them in a ziplock bag & added glitter & shook it. I told them it was magic oats for the reindeer, it helps them fly. So at night on Christmas Eve we'd go outside & sprinkle it on the lawn!

Holiday Traditions Thread - Please Come On In
Such a great thread! I love the mini tree idea! I had one as a kid but older. I think I should get one for the kids next year. Saw them at Party City but doubt they will be there when I go back, lol.

Re: Holiday Traditions Thread - Please Come On In
DH and I watch Christmas Vacation together every Christmas Eve. It came on TV last night and he yelled at me to turn it off and told me not yet.
DD gets a Christmas Eve box with a Christmas book or movie, some snacks, and Christmas PJs to wear to bed that night.
ETA: We got DD a tree for her room this year. She LOVES it. We'll definitely keep doing this in the future. Maybe another one when the next one is a little older, too.
We also do a ton of holiday baking (my office hosts a cookie exchange each year, plus I just love to bake and decorate cookies). The last few years we had an ornament decorating party, but didn't get to do it this year. We buy all crafts and ceramic ornaments, invite over friends and family, and decorate while eating all the apps and having some cocktails.
DD has an advent calendar filled with candy and sometimes a little surprise (Christmas socks, blind squishy toys, those magic towel washcloth things, kinder surprise eggs, a nail polish etc.)
