Today my MIL was put into a hospice care facitly, she was receiving hospice at home for the last 4 weeks but she needed more care I know its the best place for her but it was still a hard day for the family. When she was admitted the nurse said we would be lucky if she makes it another week why must they tell us that. it was bad enough 4 weeks ago she was given 4-6 weeks to live and we dread every phone call from my FIL or BIL. We love her dearly and hope she isnt suffering.
I am so sorry about your MIL. I just went through this in May with my MIL. She too was moved to a hospice house for the last few weeks of her life. The only comfort I can give you is that the facility she was in was wonderful (it was VN in Northport) and she was never in any pain whatsoever.
i am so incredibly sorry for what you are going through.. its truly awful. my MIL went through this too, and i know being in hospice at the hospital was the best thing.. they made her as comfortable as possible. it was nice to finally not see her suffer.
