Hosting a party - Should I serve dinner or just apps?
I am throwing DH and his twin brother a 30th birthday party at our house next month. It is at 7pm on a Saturday night and we are expecting about 25-30 people. I am obviously going to have alcohol/sodas and stuff, but I don't know if I should just serve a bunch of finger foods throughout the night or have a full-blown buffet type thing. What do you think?
If you could also share some great party food ideas, that would be much appreciated!

I'm always a fan of parties with just finger foods Usually when I host these, my go-to's are:
Spinach artichoke dip Chili cheese dip Mini quiches Pigs in a blanket Mini pierogies Stuffed mushrooms Baked (or fried) ravioli Taquitos Mini beef wellingtons Mozzarella Sticks Stromboli Ham & Swiss Roll Baked Brie Cheese and crackers Veggies & dip Buffalo Wings

ITA. Especially because it's later and it's a lot of people. It'll be too much to cook a whole meal.

Cool, thanks ladies!! I guess I can just keep the oven on and keep popping things in and out. This makes it MUCH easier instead of having to either cook trays and trays of food or have it catered!

here is the link.. its actually a kraft recipe, everyone is always asking me to make these all the time. i leave out the mushrooms and use 1 less egg... also, i find a cookie scoop perfect for forming them, its quick and neater and they all come out the same!
spinach balls

Definitely apps and I love the pulled pork idea.
I went to a holiday open house last year and they served pulled pork with coleslaw on top and a whole bunch of apps.
Yum!
