she developed medical issues when her parents paid someone off to get her out of jail as soon as possible 
something like that HAD to happen- they don't take people out of jail for "medical issues" they put you in the infirmary of the jail.
she disgusts me.

And so if it were any other prisoner they would have done the same thing?
I was prepared to understand if somehow she had been threatened or her safety was at issue... but "undisclosed medical reasons" are not valid for other people who aren't famous. Sorry. She deserved to serve her sentence. Alcohol-related offenses are no joke.
ETA - Prisoners go on hunger strikes all the time for attention...

I'd love to see how her lawyers would get her out of this one.
I guess that gives us an idea of how our judicial system works. I guess all of the inmates in our prison don't get sick or have mental issues....they get send to the jail infirmary....
Since they said she had "mental issues", they will probably have her detained at a very ritzy, private mental institution for the rest of her sentence.

Supposedly, she was on the verge of a nervous breakdown and her mental health was at risk. This was diagnosed by her PRIVATE psychiatrist after the two times he saw her. There was never any other opinion from an independent psychiatrist. The sheriff just let her go. What a crock!!!

It has actually NOT been released what her medical condition is. The idea that it was psychological is only one of several theories (all with the same lack of reliability) floating around...

"I think that it's both another glaring display of how race and money seem to get different treatments. There seems to be a different criminal justice system for some than others," Sharpton said.
After three days into a 23-day jail stint, Hilton was fitted with an electronic monitoring ankle bracelet and released to the comforts of her 2,700-square-foot Hollywood Hills home due to a mysterious and unspecified medical condition.
But hours after Hilton was sent home, the judge who put her in jail ordered her into court to determine whether she should be put back behind bars.
Hilton must report to court at 9 a.m. Friday, Superior Court spokesman Allan Parachini told The Associated Press.
"My understanding is she will be brought in in a sheriff's vehicle from her home," Parachini said.
Although Sharpton said he has "nothing but empathy for Ms. Hilton," he doubted similar treatment would be offered to minorities or poor people.
"There are any number of cases of people who handled being incarcerated badly and even have health conditions that are not released," Sharpton said.
"But I think that it gives a very bad signal when Ms. Hilton is treated any differently than any other parole violator in their county or in this country."
