How do you clear most of your snow?
How does the majority of snow get cleared in your household?
I have a plow on my truck, so most of it is done with the plow. I also have heated mats and part of my sidewalk, so some of it melts with the flip of a switch. For those small sections in between where the plow can get, I have DS and a shovel...

How do you clear most of your snow?
Uggh, mostly by shovel although we have a small electric snowblower. We have a wide driveway, small property to pile the snow on, and we're set back from the next neighbor a bit plus the neighbor before us usually parks in the street. That leaves an area roughly the size of Rhode Island in front of our driveway and mailbox that we have to clear ourselves.

Maintenance. Perk of living in a garden co-op.
Sometimes I do shovel my own walkway, and keep ice melt on hand for the icy spots that the maintenance guys miss. The parking lots get plowed, but depending upon which way the wind blows, we may have to dig out between the cars to get the doors open.

Re: How do you clear most of your snow?
snowblower. We have big driveway that DH uses the snowblower on. He does that and the front walkway. We shovel the steps off. We don't have sidewalks which makes it easier.

Re: How do you clear most of your snow?
I live in a complex so our maintenance guys do it. But when its a foot of snow or more, I go out and shovel because it could be hours before they come. I feel horrible for the guys that are out there for hours shoveling, so I try to help when I can.

My DH had to buy ramps to roll it up into this truck to get it to his dad's to do his driveway. Yeah these things are insane!

Re: How do you clear most of your snow?
DH & I shovel. Sometimes our really nice neighbor 2 doors down will plow through with his snow blower on the sidewalk in front of my house and the one in between us.

Can Husband be a response
Absolutely. I keep the question as generic and open-ended as possible. However, in keeping with the topic, your "Household" (DH) uses a method to remove the snow, whether he uses a shovel, snowblower, plow, etc.
This is another topic where the answer doesn't really matter, it's just a way to have a discussion that hopefully doesn't end in arguments...

Yeah- DH was doesn't have ramps, but was saying yesterday that he needs them - just for the snowblower. But, without them, he can't bring it to anyone else. . . oh well

Re: How do you clear most of your snow?
Shovel. But I would love for us to get a snowblower. We live on a corner with a sidewalk so it takes a while.

I have a DH! He has a snowblower. Part of our division of duties is that he does all snow.

that's what we need too for him to be able to go anywhere with it. We don't have it but we would need it
Mind you we have a one car driveway and we do live on a corner lot so we have to side to do too but there was absolutely no need for the size of the one we have. Its has freaking light on it for at night
