How do you get them to stay in "big kid" bed for naps?
We finally switched DD to her "big girl" room with her twin bed. It has side rails but she's able to climb in and out from the bottom (which I do want her to be able to do). She's been doing ok at night but yesterday and today she wouldn't stay in bed for her nap. I put her back in bed about 10 times today before I stuck her back in her crib (which I'm hoping to move DS into soon).
She absolutely still needs naps but she usually doesn't immediately fall asleep and I can't have her getting out of bed over and over. I thought about gating her in her room (which I will be doing for night time now) but I don't want her playing in there alone. Any suggestions?

DD went into a twin bed 5 months ago and I never was able to get her to stay for naps.
A handle full of times she would fall asleep in bed if she was there being punished. Otherwise, she sometimes falls asleep on the couch or doesn't nap.

I took all the toys and pretty much everything else, including books out of DS's room. I close the door and watch him on the video monitor.
I only go in if he gets something or is doing something that can be a safety hazard. Usually he goes right down now, but it took a few weeks. Yesterday he wandered around the room for almost an hour before crashing.
