Damien was 4 months. Jaidy was a year (It was the year Steve's Mom was really sick, so we waited.)

Re: How far after your dc was born, did you have the baptism?
DD was born 7/7 & we had her christening 10/14...
I'd definitely wait until after the holidays....maybe Feb?
My nieces were born in Nov & they had one of their christenings in March & the other in Feb.

Re: How far after your dc was born, did you have the baptism?
3 1/2 months, probably would have had it sooner but we had to wait for: - weather to be nice enough to have it outside -inlaws to come up from Florida -DH to actually be home

Re: How far after your dc was born, did you have the baptism?
Robbie was born in May and baptized in January.
Noah had his baptism ON his first birthday! Two birds/One party
Clearly I don't think there is a problem at all in waiting until April. Or May, June, July or August for that matter!!

Re: How far after your dc was born, did you have the baptism?
Both of my kids were 6 weeks old. I will do it at the same time for this one. If I could possibly get it together before 6 weeks I will.
I believe in baptizing as early as possible but not everyone does.
I think if you are comfortable waiting then you should. It's all personal opinion.

Re: How far after your dc was born, did you have the baptism?
Emilia was born 11/3 and her baptisim is 7/12. I wanted to wait until the nicer weather too and for the holidays to go by. Then I just decided to wait to the summer so I could have a backyard party.
