How long did you give DC rice cereal only before introducing Stage 1 foods like bananas?
DS has been taking organic rice cereal (more like rice cereal soup) for like a week now.
When did you introduce Stage 1 food after rice cereal?
Did you mix Stage 1 food with rice cereal or just give the Stage 1 food separately?

My son (almost 4 mths old) started just rice cereal on Monday. His ped. said to introduce fruits starting with applesauce (3 days each fruit) in two weeks and mix it with the rice cereal.

I gave DS rice cereal for 4 days and then moved onto fruits. At the beginning, I gave him a new food for 4 days before starting another food. Eventually, I moved down to 3 days before introducing new food.
It's up to you whether you want to mix it with cereal or give it separately. Be aware that rice cereal and bananas can be very binding.

I was told to introduce him to the oatmeal cereal before I did the jar/food/fruits

We added other foods after one week on cereal. But he was 6 months when we started cereal.

i waited 3 days and then mixed it with fruit..
now i give it separate or together, depends.

We did it at the same time - mixed the cereal with fruit.

I started with the cereal..(rice) for one week..and then started with the stage 1 foods...bananas for 4 days...apples for 4 days...etc..and then vegetables, and finally meat...I waited until she was 7 months with the meat...
