I'm self-employed, so I plan on taking off 3 months (1 month before and 2 months after.)

DH's company is really good to their employees and they get 4 weeks paternity leave!

Wow, so sad how little most of you get. Mine is not great, but seems to be better than most which is crazy.

I get 6/8 STD
2 weeks parental leave
Use vacation time for remaining 4/2 weeks

DH gets 2 weeks paternity and will take another week vacation- so 3 weeks total

I get oooogatz!!! I have to use whatever sick/personal time I have accrued (which isn't a lot since I had colitis last year) & then I get 6-8 weeks unpaid maternity depending on delivery.

DH will use vacation/personal time & take off a full week or 2 & then a week of half days. even once he is back to work, he can pop in here & there bc he works 2 min from home & drives around town for "work" LOL

10 weeks paid + 2 more unpaid for FMLA.

i can probably take more unpaid if i wanted, but id be risking them giving my job away (unlikely but you never know)

I get 6 weeks disability at half pay for vaginal birth, 8 weeks at half pay for c-section. I can't even use up all of my vacation since I technically fall into the next academic year soon after I give birth, but I want to take 3 months so I figure I will probably be unpaid for about 2 months. DH will take off 2 weeks when LO arrives

12 weeks... 6 or 8 weeks disability and then I have to use my sick time, then my vacation time. So if I go natural, I won't be getting paid for about a week, if I have a c-section I get paid the entire time.

I get 10 weeks of fully paid maternity leave plus 2 weeks of fully paid bonding time after which I am taking 5 fully paid weeks of my accrued paid time off. I am due at the end of August and I am planning on staying out until January.

I am very lucky with what my company provides. It is one of the reasons I have stayed here as long as I have.

I will get 6-8 weeks of full pay while on Short Term Disability (they keep my Short Term Disability payments). Then we get 2 weeks of paid maternity leave. I will also get paid for any unused vacation time as well. This is all concurrent with the 12 week FMLA leave. On top of that I am allowed another 5 weeks of unpaid leave where they will hold my job for me.

In all I will take 17 weeks in which 8-10 of them will be paid. We have saved money to be able to cover the unpaid weeks already.

I feel blessed.

Neither dh nor I get paid leave. I can only take off for as long as I can cover with sick, vaca and personal time up to the 12 weeks covered by FMLA. Thankfully my job is advancing me a few weeks of vaca time (our fiscal year starts on 7/1), so I'll be able to take off for 11 weeks.
