1 hour and not super strictly enforced. We have a little flexibility, esp. for emergencies/appts.

My job is very flexible. You technically get an hour, but you can take it whenever you want, or take less than an hour/work through lunch and therefore leave earlier. And no one really enforces it.

when I was working, one hour. not strictly enforced by MGMT at all. there were some nosey little Biddies that would comment if you took a longer lunch.

I'm in a school, so technically 40 minutes, but I'm not a classroom teacher, so I have a bit of flexibility depending on my daily schedule.

We have technically a 1/2 hour lunch break. It's not enforced per say, but if someone comes looking for you with a question and can't find you 1 1/2 hrs later there will be questions.

One hour. In my industry no one takes lunch on a regular basis. I usually bring lunch and eat at my desk for 5 minutes and then backk to work!

I technically don't get a lunch break that is my own...I teach at a Charter School that has no cafeteria, so we eat with the kids in our classrooms. It sucks!!

1/2 hour... but by the time I get my kids to the cafeteria, and accosted in the office about something, it's usually closer to 25 minutes.

technically i get 2 15 minutes and 1 30 minute break. the 2 15 minutes dont exist and the 30 minutes turns into how fast i can eat then get back to work

It can vary begin-end time as long as its btwn 11:30-1:30ish. I ususally keep it 12-1. But it can only be an hour. If I have a Dr apt and need and hr and 10 mins I have to let them know. They dont care, but they need to know 
It can be less than an hr, but we cant work through unless OT is approved at that time. It's unpaid.

50 minutes- also a teacher but you loose about 10 inutes because you have to walk the kids down- wait until an aid is there, and then pick them up on time...

42 minutes- strictly enforced. i teach in an nyc middle school but this year i also have lunch duty as my professional duty every day so i have an additional period that i loose every day for that. so during my "lunch" period, i am always sitting at my desk grading or planning and eating at the same time.

technically, 35 minutes but I rarely take a break since they increased my caseload to 760! 
I am a guidance counselor at a public school in CA.
