your chances of getting pregnant each month decrease with age... unfortunately women become less fertile with time. but on average, i believe you've got about a 10-20% chance of getting pregnant every month.
when i was ttc #1 my OB told me that it takes a woman in her early 30s an average of 5 months to get pregnant... although trying and not conceiving for 1 year is the actual definition that OBs use for "infertility".
as for me personally, it took 5 months to conceive #1 when i was 31. this time we conceived in our first month trying (i am now 33).

It took 15 months and IVF. We had unexplained infertility.

we tried for 3 months got pregnant I miscarried then tried for 4 months and got pregnant again

We got pregnant during our 1st month of using Clomid.
We had been doing the whole "let's just see what happens" thing, but it turned out I wasn't ovulating on my own. We would have been trying for 10 years with no results.
I don't know how long you've been TTC, but if it's been 6 months or more you may want to consider seeing a reproductive endocrinologist for some advice. Going early and not waiting was the best move I made.

About 3 years and about to do IVF. I did get pregnant the first month I used OPKs but I miscarried at 8 weeks.
How long have you been trying?

It took us 18 months. After 6 months we had a Seman Analysis and then after 1 year 2 months we started seeing an RE. We ended up needing IVF and it worked on the first try!

12 months and our second IUI. Hang in there, I know it sucks, but as you see there are others who posted that waited a long time and eventually did get their blessings.
