Re: how many of you have gotten the booster shot

My daughter works an essential job with small number of workers 2 of the workers who are fully vaxed are out with Covid. She literally has to work everyday for the next 2 weeks. The only ones avail for work are the ones that didn't get the Vax. Someone else that works there got the booster 2 days ago went to the hospital today with Altered mental status. impaired speech and a O2 sat of 75. Crazy shit
It is crazy but people just do NOT see this.

Would it really be that hard to take a post, answer the question, and if you don't have an answer to that particular question move on?
Like threads never ever go off topic. I guess that's only ok on threads that are not about the precious booster. It's still a free country though...for now...so people will continue to post whatever they want on any topic....sacred or not.
Seriously! This happens in 99% of threads. Will she post the same thing in all those threads?

Re: how many of you have gotten the booster shot
So many questions… lol.
If you get the booster a year or 6+ months after getting the original vaccine (moderna/Pfizer/J&J), is it recommended to do the series over again? Or you can just keep getting the booster every year and be protected after getting the 2 shot dose?
If you just got the booster recently? When do you think you will get the next booster?

Seems never ending and all these vaccinated people are getting sick.

Just out of curiosity, but would you prefer that everyone not take the vaccine and see what happens then?

I know you weren't asking me but I would prefer people have the choice. 100% choice though with no bad consequences like being barred from certain places, or fired, etc if they chose not to But what I'd actually like more is for someone...maybe a different drug company?...to come up with a much more effective vaccine. Instead of doubling and tripling down on this one so there is no incentive to improve on it.

Yeah, and I guess that’s fine. I’m not asking you because you don’t seem to throw around comments of how people are sheep and will follow anything.

I prefer these vaccines not be mandatory to do things in life. Especially since they are not fully working and so many vaccinated are getting sick. Work on treatments and stop shoving the vaccines down everyone's throats like they are the end all be all.

Well what you think and how I think are 2 different things, maybe that is the main issue with our discussion.
The booster is now being pushed and still not healthy lifestyles and what medications can boost your immune system if needed.
The media is scaring people over here to test with no symptoms and no exposure hence the 2-3 hour lines.

I would never trust a home test. Are they low on tests at the places to get it done? The doctor told me today they almost ran out of tests yesterday because people are all running to be tested.
See above running out of tests is the part that people who are not sick should leave the tests for ones who need to be tested for whatever reason and feel sick.
Healthy lifestyles is NOT pushed here in America and you should know that.

how many of you have gotten the booster shot
The fact that the government should have to "push" a healthy lifestyle is absurd. Grown ass adults should know that being a couch potato and eating nothing but fast food and sugar is going to end badly for you- whether it's because of COVID or not.

Many are poor and are not taught healthy eating as they never could afford it.
Maybe making healthier options cheaper than fast food would help.

Sorry, I don'y buy into that argument. There are definitely healthier options in the grocery store that would cost you the same amount as a big mac and fries. But, I am not going back and forth on this. Healthy eating isn't the purpose of this thread, sorry I derailed it. Getting back to topic- I will get my booster yearly as I do the flu shot, and I will not test my antibodies.

From what I have been told by a few different doctors, you will not have to repeat the two doses. I am not saying that is correct or anything, but it is a good question and one I did ask. That was the answer I was given. I will be getting the booster on Wednesday and I am willing to take it once a year like the flu shot, but no- I won't be going every six months.

Thanks for answering and appreciate you sharing the information that your doctors told you. That’s what I would be comfortable, once a year.

Got the original double Pfizer shots, then got Covid. No need for a booster.

I have to get it where I work, so I am going after the new year.
Actually was able to get a last min appointment sooner. I did another post though because I didn't have a good reaction to this last one.
