i was going to get a kitten from this woman who rescues all strays-but when i went into the place, i couldnt pick one

the next week, i rescued my kitten. some kids found kittens in their yard (mother left them) and asked if i wanted one..i couldnt resist

Never paid anyone for 'breed' animals in my life.

All my cats and dogs in my life are rescues.

I've had dobermans and russian blue cats. Never went to breeders.

Right now I have three cats.
I lost Sparky over a year ago (he was from NSAL and only lasted 6mths before dying of a disease they didn't catch)

Buddy - our diabetic is from NSAL - 8yrs old
Bonnie & Clyde are from Last Hope and are about 1yr and a half.

So many strays in the world.... so many homeless animals. I can't see buying from a breeder. I adopt (just my choice).

i rescued our maltese from the bablyon animal shelter. our rottie came from a litter that my dad had and he found private homes for each of the puppies and my evvie, well she was a store bought pet, that was before we knew anything about puppy mills (now I wouldn't buy a dog, not with all the information we know).

............i love each and every one of my babies!!!!!

I adopted O'Malley from the SPCA in Orlando, Florida when I was living in Florida. He was a rescue from Alabama and they said most likely he was in Hurricane Katrina which makes sense cause he's got ALOT of issues. But he's the love of my life.

I rescued Jameson, our pit 3 months ago from the Town shelter in Huntington. They were really great and they actually don't euthanize their dogs!

All the animals I have had in my life time have been rescues.

My Doberman was from Last Hope

My Mutt was from the supermarket (someone standing outside giving them away)

My cat my husband found her as a new kitten eating out of the dumpster the winter of 96 (if you remember how bad that was) and took her in

I only adopt I will NEVER EVER buy- whether it be from a breeder or from a store- IMO there are just too many animals that need homes first!
