5 times not including birth.
*Kidney issues (childhood)
*Tonsillitis (childhood)
*Complications from a tonsillectomy (2000)
*After surgery to correct cervical spine herniation (2000)
*Still unknown issue (2010)
I've been TO the hospital a few more times.. but those are the only 'overnight' issues.

I was in the hospital when I was in Middle School to have 11 teeth removed. But it was a day visit and I was released shortly after the surgery.
other than that, I've only ever stayed overnight after giving birth.

Aside from giving birth...twice.
I had a three day stay after complications from a spinal tap.
Then in November of 2009 I broke my neck after passing out and falling onto an umbrella rack. So I needed major surgery to fix that.

I've only been hospitalized overnight for having my kids... other than that, I've been in the hospital ER for a broken wrist, a broken knee, and a bad slice on my finger. Never been admitted.

ER: at least 2 dozen times. Literally
Admitted: my 2 kids, and 3 times for a still- unidentified condition that is pointing more and more to FMS with a complication of Costchondritis.

Aside giving birth
2 times
- several abdominal pain (the joy to move from one Country to another and changing to a different food/diet). Kept for observation.
- Pulmonary embolism scare (3 days in hospital)
MANY MANY trips to ER when I was a teenager. But never broke a bone (knock on wood).

No overnights. A few ER visits as a child. Broken wrist, broken toe, badly cut knee, a bad ear infection (I have nerve damage in that ear and didn't realize until the infection was REALLY bad). Thank God nothing serious

ER: 2x as a child (broken arms)
3x as an adult (2 car accident related concussions and swelling/loss of use in my arm)
No overnight admissions besides for the birth of my children, thank God!

csection is the only time that i stayed overnight
i did spend about 12 hours in the ER for a very serious allergic reaction
maybe 8 hours for a migraine when I was 15 (first migraine - optic migraine so I couldnt see)
i've been lucky!

Never overnight, had two surgeries in hospitals, one was my tonsillectomy (1999) and second was to repair a tendon in my thumb (2010).

Only one time in my life and it was ambulatory surgery in 2005. Had a mass removed from my rt. breast. Thankfully, it was benign and I've never had any other problems since then!

Once in 2002 when i was 17 because of a car accident that required a plate and screws in my left forearm
In 2009 when i had DD and then again a week later when i had the multi-organ staph infection, i was in the hospital for a week.

Besides giving birth just once- 5 weeks later- when i had to have my gallbladder out.
Other than that- 2 ER trips in my life- neither of which required me to be admitted.
