how much cold cuts for small informal lunch

I'm not big on cold cuts and sandwiches myself, but I'm going to end up having 6-8 adults and 2 kids here for an informal lunch next Monday. I was thinking maybe a few different types of cold cuts (3? 4?) and maybe 2 types of cheese? I have no idea. And should I get a loaf of good white bread and a few Italian breads? I figured that with 1 or 2 sides and a cake should be enough.

Any advice is helpful, like what I should buy, but the main advice I need is how much of the cold cuts and cheese to buy.

I would get 4 lbs of cold cuts (2 lbs turkey, 1 lb ham, 1 lb roast beef or something like that, maybe some bologna for the kids). Plus 2 pounds of cheese (American, swiss, muenster maybe). That's probably too much but I always over-order. You can always use up the leftovers.

Stop & Shop has platters of sandwiches/wraps - all ready to go - might be easier.

Thanks for your response. I was definitely thinking that would be the ratio and the types for the meats (mostly turkey, some ham, and some roast beef). Definitely American cheese. Maybe swiss or provolone (though I love meunster)

Thanks. I would consider that if we were a bigger group, but since we're small, I don't think it's too bad to just get the parts. More than that, I 3 picky eaters in the bunch Chat Icon including my DH who eats no veggies and no mayo or dressing

This is what I would do as well. As far as breads, I'd probably buy some fresh rolls and a loaf of wheat bread.

I 100% agree with this poster! I would do sub buns, or rolls also. If you do bread I would suggest White, Rye, Italian, and or maybe pumpernickel.
