$500 for dd#1
I have to call to find out for dd#2 but I'm thinking $2500-$5000.

I paid a $300 co pay for myself and a $300 co pay for DS. This time around, it's a $500 deductible each - so I'll be paying $1000.

We had a $2800 deductible for the year, which I think we had already paid about $1000 into, so we paid about $1800 for her birth and then our insurance covered 100% of the remaining cost.

I believe my biggest bill was $250 for my sons circumcision (considered "elective surgery"). I had an unmedicated birth though so the anesthesiologist was never called.

Insurance only covered 80% so we paid the other 20 to both the hospital AND the OBGYN

First, dd - just the first $20 copay with the obgyn. Had really good insurance with my old job.
With my second, I switched jobs and now I've got a high deductible plan - so $2k. Glad I had her last year though - this year our deductibles went up to $3k pp!

$1000 copay for my first.
I got totally screwed with my second. She was born the day our insurance switched over but I had already been in the hospital for 4 days so I got hit with both deductibles for a total for $4000.

$500 and they harassed us for it. Like I literally got to my room after a 30 hour failed induction, resulting I'm a CS and finance call an hour later wanting to get paid. So tact less on NSUH's part. That is my one and only negative review of the hospital.

About $1700 coinsurance - we already met our deductible earlier in the year.

DS - $200 of a 14,000 dollar bill (unmedicated vaginal birth)
DD-$3,000- Homebirth w/ midwife (not covered)

First baby, $3200. I had a $2600 out of pocket maximum. Then another $600 in charges for the baby.
Second baby, $800.
I'm so envious of those who paid $0!

Let's see, I paid a $500 co-pay for both me and my daughter for our hospital stay, and then I jtold st got a bill for the attending doctor that helped my doctor during my c-section....I think all in it's under $1,500.

Amazing some people have $0 and some have thousands and thousands in bills. It's sad to me that healthcare is still not considered a right with good coverage guaranteed for all.
Sorry, I'll get off my political soapbox.
With DS 1 & 2, we paid just one regular copay to the OB and had a copay with each sonogram, so not much at all.
With my DD born this fall, we had a $250 deductible for her hospital stay, random $150 coinsurance bill for a sonogram she had. I have to pay a $500 deductible for my hospital stay, and again random coinsurance bills from the pathologist, a radiologist's bill etc. I think we'll end up paying around $1k, maybe a bit over, which is a lot for us being out of work on leave. It just sucks.

I think this was the case with us as well.
Though after DS #1 I was billed around $250 or 350 or something like that for the anesthesia. I was pissed because I did not know ahead of time I would need it (we had been planning to try and turn DS as he was breech but my water broke so we couldn't and they said I had to have a csection. Then, just before they were going to bring me in, they told me the anesthesiologist wanted to put me out instead of a spinal block.) Apparently somehow the guy wasn't in my network - not my first question as I was laying on the table. I called when I got the bill and they told me I had to pay it and I explained what happened and they said something about working with me. I think they were supposed to call me back but never did. I never paid them so I guess they worked it out?

My ded is $3,500 and I'll be expected to cover 25% of anything over the ded. My doctors office is actually making me prepay them my ded in advance
