I kept getting denied for health insurance and couldnt afford anything at the time... Giving birth is equivalent to purchasing a new car. I want to say my bill was about $20K. When I was finally approved for something after birth they retro'd it to the day before DD was born so I got to pay $0.

I think it was a $20 copay to the doctor first and second time around. No hospital copay. Everyone was in network.

For DD it was just the $250 co pay and for DS it should have been a $500 co pay but DH's job has a fun to reimburse for hospital co pays so we ended up paying $0.

I think it was like $600? I can't remember, but when they sent the bill of what we would've paid without insurance, I happily forked over the couple hundred. It was like $18k with no insurance. Yikes! 
It's so crazy how the bills from different hospitals and the out of pocket with different insurances can vary so greatly!
My hospital bill was $65k  and I GLADLY paid $300 out of pocket
