We spent around 1500 dollars. We had in at my husbands firehouse. We didn't do favors... Ran out of time to figure out what we were going to do...

About 400 I think ? I had a family dinner at a local Italian place. About 15 people. Small favors. Nothing big.

We spent about 2K. We had 85 people at a KofC hall (did beer, wine, and soda) bought all the paper goods, catered food and desserts, hired 2 servers. I made a dessert/candy buffet table and DIY'd the centerpieces.

We had 50 of our family members and closest friends at an italian restaurant. Btwn favors, centerpieces, and restaurant we spent a little over 3k.

For DD with about 75 people in a catering hall w/ a DJ; balloon cp & chocolate basket favors about 3k.
With DS we kept it small (only family)--about 35 people & had a 4 hour "dinner" in a restaurant; private room--was 1k.
For the record our church only asked for $25 donation (we gave 100).

We had 50-60 people at a restaurant, 4 hours, sit down dinner. Private room with a bar
Beer wine & soda
3 Dessert choices
$1,700
invites & thank yous online @ shutterfly
$50 church donation
I didnt do centerpieces, favors or a fancy cake.

We paid less than $1000. My dad is part of the fire dept so we had it at one of the halls and I come from a huge Italian family so we made all the food.

Holy cow!!! I don't have a few k to spend on a party, any party, esp when the guest of honor will have no clue what is going on! i'm planning on $100 to $150. The invites are free, will only be $20 TO $25 PEEPS, gonna have it at my house, gonna make everything but the main dish. I will be posting about this in a few weeks cuz as you can tell this will be my first time involved with one of these!

Not sure of exact amt but it was under $2,000. About 105 people at my parents house backyard. Included tents, dj, two waitresses (we should have had more though) and a bartender, favors, centerpieces, invites, food some catered some made by my parents and the thank yous. A lot of the stuff we made ourselves so we saved on the smaller things.

We did a brunch at Carosello (it's closed now, though)
we had about 70 people. Balloon centerpieces were included as well as the cake. I made chocolate lollipop favors (I was on a REALLY tight budget) and bought the invites online (can't remember the site).
I would say the entire thing cost us about $2500.
I think it all depends on where you have it and what they include. You can have the same amount of people with a sit down at a fancier place and it can cost double, KWIM?

DS1's we had at my mom's in the summer - catered, tents, etc. and it probably cost $2500 or so for maybe 75 people.
DS2 we did at a restaurant. I think 65-70 people and I believe it was $3500 or so for everything.

We will be in the $2500 range for a buffet for about 40 people. My parents are paying for the DJ, so I guess another $500 if we factored that cost in.

We didn't go all out. We just had something at home with our immediate family which is fairly large anyways (28 without us).
I think we spent maybe $500 between, food, cake and donations. We didn't do favors or decorations.

my kids are way too old for pricing to be relevant, but My godson's christening was in may. The party was at a hall for brunch, about 75 people at $27 pp. As the godparents we bought his outfits( he had two), the invitations, the candy buffet and centerpieces and few decorations. That added up to about $700. It was part of our gift. A lot of what we did was totally optional but it was our pleasure.

This question is really open ended....really depends on what kind of festivity you are looking to do, where you have the baptism, the amount of people you invite, whether you get a band, dj, photographer, videographer, etc. I'm doing DS's baptism at the north ritz club and getting a dj, photographer, videographer, kids entertainment, centerpieces, invites, (godparents buy the outfit and give the favors)...it is costing a pretty penny bc it is peak wedding season and they didn't cut the price just bc it is a baptism. Buttt I have friends and relatives who just did simple invites and dinners and only spent $5-$10k so it really depends!
Our baptism was the same.... The only thing we didn't do was hire a videographer. I tried to cut corners with a few things but the christening still cost a lot.

Well, if you have a large family/group of friends home isn't always practical. I would have loved to have had it out in the yard but can't count on the weather and having to move it indoors last minute just wouldn't work.
Honestly, I don't think the prices are bad at all considering it is LI and you have to get invites, centerpieces, favors and the church donation on top of the food and drinks. In fact we are under budget!
