How much does the average electric, gas & water bill cost?
My DH & I are looking into purchasing a house in Deer Park and would like to get an idea of what our monthly utilities would cost...
TIA

Re: How much does the average electric, gas & water bill cost?
I am on balanced billing for both, and it can vary from time to time, however, for the most part, our gas & electric is around $350.00-$400.00 a month.
Our water bill varies with the seasons. It is paid quarterly I believe. My next one is around $38.00. In the summer it may be around $100.00? (We use a sprinkler system daily).
Sewer is also paid quarterly and is around $32.00 I believe.
We are in Amity Harbor, near Tanner Park in a small 3-bedroom with 2 floors and a basement. We also have a detached garage with electric and gas.
I am SO HAPPY we have gas because I don't know how we would be able to afford some of these oil bills I hear lots of people quote they pay every couple of months.

Re: How much does the average electric, gas & water bill cost?
Our gas is around 65 - 80 dollars a month.
Our electric is around 75 dollars on average.
We live in a townhome so our water is included in our monthly common charges.
ETA: size of the home might help you - sorry!
We live in a 2 bedroom, 2.5 bath condo. It is three levels - ground level is a 1.5 car garage, come into a mud room, then there's a finished basement. Stairs lead up to the main entryway - then the den, dining room, half bath, laundry room, coat closet, eat-in kitchen. Go upstairs (there's a landing with little balcony) and there's a linen closet, our master bedroom (his and hers walk-ins) with attached master bath (tub and shower), then the second bedroom also has a walk-in and attached full bath. So, it's a good size - if that helps you get a better idea! We do the budget billing or whatever they call it lol.
