How much is a typical monthly gas & electric bill?
Not trying to be be nosey. We're looking for apt now & have always had utilities included in our rent. Just wondering what a typical bill would be.
Does the location make a difference? Also, is it significantly higher in the summer?

we pay between 80-110 a month for electric. i think it depends on when they estimate and when they read the bill. our gas is like 20 every few months. we have gas for dryer/stove

Our electric is $122 on a budget and our gas in the winter is between $300 & $400 a month. Last month gas was $248 and this month it is down to $130. My house is 1700sq/ft and we also use the gas for heating and cooking. The dyer is electric though.

Our electric bill is $122 on a fixed rate plan. It was $87 on the fixed rate plan before DH moved in.
Gas is included in the co-op fee.
ETA - we have a lots of stuff running all the time since I work from home 3 - 5 days a week and that includes two computers.

it depends on how your home is heated...
i have gas heat, stove, and dryer. we are on budget and pay $160/mo for an extended high ranch
LIPA we are on budget and pay $130.

When we lived in a 2 bedroom apartment which was on the seecond floor our electric bill was anywhere from $50 to $80 (summer) a month. It really depends on when you are home and what you use and leave on when you aren't.

We just got out first utilities bill and it was $68 for gas and $60 for electric.

we have gas heat and dryer. We pay $169 a month on a budget plan. In the summer months the electric is higher because of the CAC, but the gas is very low and in the winter the gas is high, but the electric is low.
eta: this is for a 1600 square ft townhouse. the size of the house will make a difference a well as how well it is is insulated, windows, etc

we have an condo and its electric heat, no gas or oil. We pay around $295 for LIPA.
