how much time does your DH plan to take off after the baby is born?

mine is saving one week of vacation for after the baby is born and then after that hes back to work. im just glad my mom and MIL live 10 mins away so that they can come over and hang out with me when DH goes back.

My DH may get 2 weeks paternity leave....or he may get no time off at all. It depends on the timing. Unfortunately with the line of work he is in, things are pretty unpredictable.

I think 2 days. Personally I think I'll be happy to be alone...Too many cooks in the kitchen, you know? Or I'd be getting angry if he was just playing on the computer when I was doing everything else anyway.

DH plans on taking a week.

i think DH is taking off for 2 weeks. he's putting in alot of ot from now till i give birth and is trying to take it in time instead of money (he's NYPD) so we'll see. i hope he can get a decent amount of time. i'll be living in a hi ranch with the ILS living in an apartment downstairs and i'd rather not have them over every 2 seconds because DH's not there and i don't have the balls to say LEAVE! haha

DH owns his own business so he'll probably take off a little over a week and then lesson his hours if possible for a little bit. Looking forward to spending some quality time together as a family. My parents will be staying with us for a few days and my IL's live about 10 mins away.

DH was able to take a month off when DD was born so I am *hoping* he can do the same this time.

Two weeks...one week right after baby is born....

and the second either following that week, or the week I start teaching again

My DH is also saving is week of vacation for when the baby is born. His work is keeping his vacation flexible so basically when i tell him im in labor, he starts his vacation. But he will only get a week. My in-laws also lives like 600 ft from our house so they will be there to help too. First grandchild so they are excited.

He's taking one week then, and then he has another week scheduled for approx. 6 weeks later. He's only allowed to "float" one week, but I'm kinda glad he'll be taking that 2nd week a little bit later.

i keep telling Dave to get to his manager about this.... I have a feeling it'll be two weeks ONLY (his vacation time) - but i don't know.

I do know that his NORMALLY PITA manager has been amazing about EVERYTHING for the baby.

Any appointments, he has no problem getting off for them (and believe me, that is NOT how it was before)... If it's baby - it's FINE - no questions asked... I do want to talk to him (his boss, we're friendly) myself and let him know - if i have a c-section, i'm going to need Dave around a little longer, but i know in my heart that'll be okay....again, because of the 360 when it comes to time off for appointments...

The last time i went to pick up dave - he was telling me all about how he can't wait to babysit...(and he meant it sincerely).....so basically - WHO KNOWS?!?!

DH can take 2 weeks off. He may just take a week and save the other week for later. My parents will probably be up from Texas for a week or two so I won't need everyone at the same time.

probably a few days to a week. Honestly, i think the peace and quiet and time i will have alone with the baby will be fine.

I want him home as long as possible since it will be another c-section and there will be no way for me to pick up Jack.

Ideally he will be off for all of Oct. (Due date is the 17th but I will have a csection before them)

Then my dad will take off a week. Then my mom. By that time I hope I'll be able to pick up my little man again!

2 Weeks
Being that Im having another C Section, I told him, obviously be there the day of the birth, but, the rest of the time, go to work.
I'll need him to take his "Vacation" once I'm home, so, he can help with DS.

Just one week. I wish it could be more but he only gets 2 weeks vacation per year so he wants to save the 2nd week for a little later in the year.

Hubby is a teacher so summer off so he will be home with me for at least 8 weeks

Dh gets 2 weeks paternity leave and then he is taking 2 weeks vacation...so fortunate and relieved to have him home with me.
