How Old for 1st haircut?
AJ's hair has parts that reach her upper lip! LOL
I need to cut her hair.. but i wonder how she'll handle it.

Landon had his first haircut at 9 months. If he was a girl, I would have waited longer (would be able to use clips, headbands to keep hair out of eyes). He did not enjoy it! But we took him to a kids place that is used to doing kids all day, so they still did a great job.

They have special kid places here.. but honestly
I LOVE her messed up hair! LOL
Her front is super long.. but the back (from balding before) hasnt caught up.
Im against cutting hair until 1yr for some superstitious reason i cant remember. so whatever
but i cant pull her hair back for daycare anymore the kids are big enough to think her clips are toys and her pigtails are awesome pulling toys.
*sigh*

Lily's a little over 2 years old and has never been to get a haircut. I trim her bangs every few weeks....but that's about it.
I pull her hair back in ponytails or clips.
If your daughter is in daycare, and her hair can't be pulled back....I would get it cut....even before the first year mark. You don't want it to get in her face and block her view when she's walking/crawling/cruising/exploring....

ds was months , his hair grew long and it's too hot out, I don't like the look of boys with long hair,
he was so good when he got it cut, but the hair cutter said he was very special bc most kids don't like it so be prepared to distract her!

My girls are 3 years old and 22 monrths old and they haven't had a haircut yet. I am not personally a fan of bangs on little girls (mainly because my DD's are my mini-me's and I looked ridicules with bangs at their age ). So I have yet to see a reason to cut it. I am thinking of getting my 3 year old hair trimmed though.

My DD just got her first trim at 2.5 years old - she could have gotten away with waiting but she has very curly hair that was growing outwards rather than down.
My DS got his first cut at 14.5 months.
We went to a kid salon and they both did fine.

I sooo want to cut my DS's hair...but DH wants to grow it long...it's sooo curly in the back...not sure it loos boyish at this point....

DD will be three in October and so far I have only had to cut her bangs twice!
She was a real baldy whose bangs grew in naturally and she has only had the two trims.

DD got her first haircut at over 2 1/2. It really helped it grow faster. She has had one other since then and is now a little over 3. She will get one in Sept. right before preschool and then I will hold off as long as I can. My hairdresser did it and didn't charge me since I was getting mine done as well.

we buzzed DS at 4 months. It was out of control and he was starting to look like Trump. He sat on my lap the whole time and never moved.

I am taking DS on his actual birthday. He doesn't have much hair, but it is starting to look scraggly. A girl I might let grow a bit more

The superstition we go by in my family is do not cut a baby's hair until he/she can talk.

We took DD for her 1st "haircut" 5 days before her 2nd birthday...and we only cut bangs....
DD has curly hair, and we have waited a long time for it to grow...there isn't much to cut, so I'll wait on that until it seems to really need a trim...

DD was 14 months and I took her just to even it out. I won't cut it again for a while now that it is growing in evenly.
