I've had gray mixed in since I was in my teens but it was never much of a bother, my hair is pretty thick.

I started dyeing my hair after 30 because I'm a natural redhead but my hair is turning brown. I did let it go for a while and realized at about 37 that I'm getting more stray gray hairs around my face.

Now I get my hair highlighted so it looks more natural and she will pick out the stray gray hairs to make sure they get colored.

My mother was gray in her late 20's and one sister in early 30's but they had significantly more stress in their lives than I do. Not sure if that's an old wives tale or not.

i am 29 and i am starting to get some greys here and there and i pull them out. its not enough to have to dye my hair yet but i think i may have to in the next 3-5 years.

I'm 35 and I have only found 1 grey hair. Im sure there are more but none that I can noticeably see.

This year I started but I don't really NEEEED to. There are just more than I care to look at. I'll be 29 in December.

I have a little patch of gray and then a stray here and there. I get highlights and the colorist can usually pick up the grays with that. I'm 31.

I found my fist greys at 16.

Started dying my hair at 17.

I haven't gotten any greys yet. I am 35. My father didn't get grey until his 50's. Hoping I got those genes

I am 43 and don't yet need to dye for gray hair. I have only seen a couple of stray ones in the past few years. My mom went from platinum to gray to white in her 30's so I am SHOCKED that I am not gray yet!!

I do color my hair though. Because I like it.

I am 36 and haven't had to yet. I used to dye it for fun, but stopped in my late twenties because I figured I only had a few years of my natural color left.

My mother msut have been no older than her early 30s when she started because I remeber her doing it in the kitchen when I was little.

And my brother went gray in college, but I guess I take after my dad's side of the family.

I don’t have any grey and I’m 39. My mom is 66 and has about 5, the women in my family just don’t grey. That being said, I would MUCH rather have grey hair than wrinkles!! Grey hair is so easy to color or touch up, wrinkles you can’t do anything about!

I started to color my hair before I needed to for greys so I do not really even know. Now I am 44 and I have a lot more grey in my roots than I did even a year ago. My mom also colored her hair before she ever needed to but she had grey roots at a younger age. My dad is 73, and has only had any visible grey in the past 5 years and he has no receding hairline at all. He would never bother to color it. I pray my son gets his hair!!!!!!

PS...my greys are a different texture from the rest of my hair and I HATE that. Thank G-d I have a lot of hair but when it is all grey I will need to learn how to manage the new texture. My greys do not hold color the way the rest of my hair does, so that part is difficult.

I'm 31 and have not dyed yet. I have a few grey hairs now (I blame my twins!) that I pluck regularly.

i haven't yet (i'll be 30 in feb)- but i have found 12 greys in the last several months. I lost a lot of hair after baby #2 and some of my new growth is coming in grey. it's not easy to spot bc i have natural goldish highlights, but i know it's there!!! I actually just made an appt to highlight and color ... eek!

eta: my mother had to start dying at 25, so i'm already ahead of the game
