Hair Dye during First Trimester
I know its not allowed so I have resigned myself to that but is there ANyTHING I can use...I look about 100!!! and I am only at the 7 week mark so only half way there to getting my hair colored. I know I should just suck it up but people are starting to speak to my hairline now instead of my face and its getting embarrassing plus I am trying to keep this pregnancy quiet until I get out of my first trimester.
Is there anything I can use that is safe?
Thanks

Re: Hair Dye during First Trimester
I buy this cover gray touch up at Harmon's and it's only $5 or so. It's temporary and comes out after I wash my hair but it does the trick. I love it. It's shaped like a lipstick and it colors the roots...I have gone this whole pregnancy with it and I have lots of gray hair so it works!

Re: Hair Dye during First Trimester
It's not off limits! My doc said there's such a small chance of it getting to baby bc it gets filtered out by our bodies and if if it did reach baby, it gets filtered by baby as well. He said there's really no reason to get crazy over it. So I dyed my hair right after. Baby is doing just fine.

Re: Hair Dye during First Trimester
My doctor said no to hair dying for both pregnancies.
I bought the dry shampoo spray that has pigment to it. It's not dye, it washes right out, just sits on top of your hair, but it camoflages the grey. They sell it for blonde hair, brunette, and red hair. I have darrrrrk roots and brown hair, and the brunette dry shampoo makes it a little less two tone and covers the grey when I want to look more presentable.

Re: Hair Dye during First Trimester
I have my hair highlighted throughout my pregnancy. But highlights don't touch the scalp so it maybe different.

Re: Hair Dye during First Trimester
I dyed and highlighted my hair my entire pregnancy. I'm actually under the dryer right now for my last touch up before baby. What do the hairdressers and salon employees do when they're pregnant? Quit? Take leave? I don't think so. So to me green light.

Re: Hair Dye during First Trimester
I don't dye my hair but do straighten it. When I asked my doctor about this she said of course you can do it...you are not eating the product. I know everyone has opinions on these things, and food and exercise etc....you have to do what you are comfortable with. You can poll 5 doctors and they will all say something different.
