how's your 5 month old sleeping and eating????
My 1st DD slept since day 1 and has been doing so for the past 22 months..however DD #2 gets up during the night..i don't think she's eating enough during the day...but I was just wondering if I'm alone in this plight????
i should add...how many hours is considered "sleeping all night"? Because DD goes to sleep anywhere betwen 8-9 pm then gets up to eat at 2-3 am then goes back for another 2 hours..gets up to eat again...and finally sleeps again for another 1-2 hours. Whew!

Re: how's your 5 month old sleeping and eating????
my 6 month still gets up once a night!
Ds goes to bed at 6pm, wakes at 12:30am to eat and then goes back down until 6-6:30am. He eats about 5-6 ounces a feeding.

Re: how's your 5 month old sleeping and eating????
my 5 month old gets up in the middle of the night (sometimes up to 3 times), sometimes none. I did start to dream feed at 11pm, and that decreased the amoutn of times he got up. last night though i fed him at 8 30pm then at 3 am i gave him a bottle, however if i dream feed him and he still gets up at night i just put the paci back in and he is good
over the weekend we started cio, he cried for about an hour, the second night he slept strait through, however last he again got up 2-3 times for the paci and once to eat :(. we didn't want to do cio cause my husband was going to work today. so thats the story with my little guy, not very encouraging.

Re: how's your 5 month old sleeping and eating????
She eats about 6oz a feed.. tho last night she went crazy and kept drinking and finished off about 11oz!!!!
She sleeps from 9-10pm to 3-4am then up for feeding at 4oz She sleeps from 3-4am until 6am when we wake her up for more food or for the travel to the train station with me.
5hours is the max she’ll sleep mostly.
Once in a blue moon she’ll sleep the night through

My ds sometimes wakes for his pacifier, so we have about 7 of them in his crib for him to find on his own. I don't know if you're going in to give them to him or not... but thought i'd pass the tip along just in case!
*Also, i'd becareful with the CIO. I'm all for CIO (we did it with my son at 5 1/2 months), but you have to be 100% consistent with it each night otherwise it won't work.

Re: how's your 5 month old sleeping and eating????
It's hard to keep DS up past 6ish these days. So he goes to bed anywhere from 6:15 pm to 7:15 pm and sleeps until 6:30/7:30. Sometimes he wakes up at about 3:30 ish and fusses but doesn't cry and just goes back to sleep.
He is eating solids, but not as much as he probably should be - depends on the day. He drinks between 6 and 7 ounces at a time.

Re: how's your 5 month old sleeping and eating????
Every night is a new night with my 5 month DD...I'll quote Forest Gump here..."Melinda is like a box of chocolates, you never know what your gonna get"...
I feed her dinner at 7 pm (about 3 tbsp of cereal and 1/2 jar veggies. If she still seems hungry - like bird with an open mouth waiting for her worm - I give her a half jar of fruit).
She gets a bath around 8, then a night bottle right after (about 5 - 6 oz.)...
I give her a dreamfeed at about 11 pm - it's down to 2 oz...
At that point she can wake up anytime between 3 - 5 am...it's always for her paci...now I wait till it's a full blown cry before I go in...and I'm consistent with that...And sometimes she amazes us and sleeps through the night without a whimper...
She usually wakes for good approx 7 am...
