I am sorry but Patrick has been gone not even 2 hours and the
jokes are PI******* me the HE** OFF. really people. a man just lost his LIFE. I BET YOU A MILLION dollars that if it was your family member that was gone you would find it HURTFUL!!!

I know all about your husband, I am sorry for your loss, I am one who can sympathize with your loss. However, this has nothing to do with that, please dont make it about that.
Furthermore, I didnt say it. I simply posted something, said by someone else. asking if others had seen it. It is funny, no one is laughing at Patrick Swayze or making light of his death. They are mocking something said by someone else. You need to relax. If there is one thing that I have learned through death (the death of that very close person mentioned above) it is that you need to not take things so seriously, go with the flow, things like this are not worth getting crazy about, life is too short. It is a free country and I do believe that freedom of speech is protected. I didnt attack you, dont attack me.

I honestly dont understand why this is bothering you so much??? I mean No one said anything about you or your DH, why is this about him and you? I think you need to calm it a bit and not take things so personally. Yeah, I feel bad PS died. But I think getting this upset is very silly...
I thought the joke posted from Kayne west was tasteless, but Im not going to loose sleep over it.

I can "kind" of understand why you are bothered. Granted I didn't loose DH, but if anyone was to make a joke that included someone with a disability..It would upset me. Again...I know the Kayne thing wasn't aimed at your DH...but it included someone's DH. I didn't think the joke was funny. Not b/c of PS...just didn't think it was funny. But people are entitled to laugh. Just as people are allowed to be offended.
Again, just try not to take it so personally.

Im sorry but people are entitled to their opinion and to not think the joke is funny. But I dont think people are entitled to judge me or anyone who laughed. I know what is like to mourn and grieve over a death. and I also know whats its like to be sitting around the table crying yours eyes out at 11 cause you just lost your mother and one family member says something (whether it be a joke or something they remembered about the person) and everyone starts laughing while crying. The death is still real and you are still overwhlemed with sadness but being able to laugh is such a sense of relief though all the pain.
I didnt know patrick swayze personally, however his death still saddened me and this also made laugh. doesnt mean I am heartless or dont know whats its like to lose someone. And for anyone to assume so is just as tasteless. Sorry but i had to give my opinion on this.

I guess its only tastless a few days after but not a few motnhs. Eveyone was up in arms with the jokes a day after his death. But atleast those were really targeted at him.

Personally I did not find the joke to be that funny but I am not offended by it either. I lost my stepdad to brain cancer earlier this year and he was only 52 so I know that I am overly sensitive about the whole Patrick Swayze thing and I just try to stay clear from reading the jokes. Honestly, if this all happened 2 years ago I probably would have laughed at it myself which is why I can't judge someone for thinking it's funny. The joke is about Kanye (and it making him look like the a ss that he is is humorous) but I can understand why some people would be extra sensitive to its content.

Thank you, I think that needed to be said.
Everyone experiences loss differently but there shouldn't be a contest on who has lost the most or who is the most affected by situations like this.
FTR I had a chuckle. I wasn't offended and agree with a PP who said this shouldn't be taken so personally.
