Your post made me cry. It also brought back all the feelings and fears I had with DH (boyfriend at the time) - he went in to try and rescue people (as a paramedic.) I remember the sheer terror at not hearing from him for many many hours at a time.

I too, will never forget seing the 2nd plane hit while sitting on the 7 train...and not knowing what was happening, not understanding...then I remember the aftermath...thank you for sharing your post and lots of hugs to you and dh...
I work in LI now, as a teacher, and my kids today were too little to know what happened today...

on the way to work this morning i heard on a radio station that she could not find one touching story about 9/11... i found that to be so sad.... then while at work i jump on to lif via my cell and i read this not only touching but powerful! what a story! may god bless you and your family
