i promise you she won't remember a thing! you on the other hand,  , that's a different story! go easy on yourself, stuff like this happens! 
do the batteries need to be changed? any new electronics near the monitors? anything else you can think of that was different and why it would have frozen?

i would call the company - i am so sorry i know how u feel - it breaks your heart into peices to see them like that.

omg!! Jess!! i am so sorry! i feel HORRIBLE for you!!
i would be so upset. you should def call the company!
i have the summer video monitor as well and i am very concerned.
i would be furious with the company!
thankfully your dd is ok. keep in mind that she wont remember this!!

I would definitley contact the company. Like other posters said, she won't remember it. She'll be OK.

First off, that picture is PRECIOUS!
I would definitely call the company so that they can send you a new one or offer you some kind of refund. I mean really, the monitor has one job to do and you said it was expensive so they should definitely do something about it.
Try not to beat yourself up too much about it. DD is fine and I'm sure doesn't even remember. I know I would feel terrible too but it could have happened to anyone .

I would defin complain to the company. Which model was it? Don't beat yourself up over it. I know you feel terrible, but the important thing is she is ok. That picture is to die for.  Adorable.

Awwwww! I would definitely call - what is the point of the monitor if it doesn't work? I've been using mine for over 2 years every night and that NEVER happened! What brand is it?

The monitor was plugged in and fully charged. No electronics near the monitor or anything, our phones weren't even in the room. I have no idea why it froze... it was fine at midnight when I went to bed so somewhere between 12 and 6:30 it froze for no reason.

Thanks for all the 's!! I just spoke to MIL and she said she's happy as can be so I feel a lot better.
I wrote an email to summer infant this morning so we'll see what they reply.
For those that asked... it's the summer infant BestView handheld color video monitor.

Aww, she's OK and that's all that matters but I would feel the exact same way as you and I would definitely call up and yell at somebody about the monitor.
