I feel so defeated! (vent)
I've been having such a hard time with Adriano napping the past 3 weeks. I've tried a few approaches and nothing has worked so far! I tried putting him down when he's clearly tired. I tried putting him down later than normal, I tried giving him a snack so his belly is full b4 nap, I tried giving him tylenol b4 putting him down in case it's his teeth bothering him. I don't know what else to do!!!!!!!!!! I feel like I'm at my wits end! He was closing his eyes in the car at 10:39 today after a busy morning at the park. When I put him down in his crib at 11 he screamed bloody murder for 10 minutes until he finally passed out at 11:05. Now he just woke up 35 minutes later crying his head off!!!!! I'm ignoring him to see if he'll go back to sleep but he did the same thign to me yesterday and did not go back to sleep after crying for 40 minutes straight! I've never had any issues with him napping or sleeping what the heck is going on with my kid?????? I'm reading Healthy Sleep Habits again and the message of the book is clearly not working for my kid....Just don't know what else to do.......

Does he have all his teeth? Chels is giving me issues as well, and she seems to be getting all four eye teeth in at once...so it's fun times in our house right now

No he's missing quite a few. He has 11 altogether (6 on the top and 5 on the bottom) He has gotten both molars in top and bottom. He's got 9 more to go. He doesn't have his canines top and bottom yet and one of the bottom incisors. I just feel terrible. I would think the tylenol is taking care of any teeth issues so I don't know what it can possibly be! He exhausted by 5 pm and in bed by 6:30 and that's with me pushing it! Next step is doing CIO and having him in that crib for 1 hour and see if he falls back asleep. Don't know what else I can do!

He got into a routine (I think thats key) and he stuck with it til he started school last April. (an E.I class...Hes 3.5 now).
Went to bed at 8/830.

Re: I feel so defeated! (vent)
How many naps was he taking and what time was he taking naps before these issues came up? Is he going through separation anxiety right now?

How many naps does he take?
Also, if he is not sleeping enough at night that will affect his naps - what time does he go down for the night and what time does he get up?

Re: I feel so defeated! (vent)
I could have written this myself!!! Ashley is getting her 4 incisors in right now and it is COMPLETELY changing her sleeping habits! Her naps have not been longer than 40 minutes in over 3 weeks. I am hoping once all 4 break through (only 2 have broken through so far) that her sleeping will go back to normal. I have heard from friends that the incisors were hard for their kids too. I am also pregnant with our 2nd baby, so the naps she used to take (1.5-2 hrs) used to be great for me to relax too! :(
