Is this an issue where one of you makes more money than the other? I mean, those things change and shouldn't determine anyone's "share" of bills. Dh used to make WAY more money then me, now I do, but we haven't ever chaned our methods on how things get paid.


it's part of it- he makes more then me- but he also gets paid irregularly b/c it's comission only - and I can't afford 1/2 his bills- so I pay for mine and I like to have my own personal little stash on money- on the advice of my mother

this system has worked for 3 years with out an issue until today

and I am starting to think it's more in my head then a real issue

he has been giving me a little attitude all week- I feel like he gets like this before I go on business trips- and I am going on one monday

We have one checking, and one savings. I feel our money is just in fact that, OURS. My husband does not take home a paycheck because he owns his own business. If my checks cannot cover the monthly bills, I let him know and he gives me money. The checking account is strictly for bill paying. Our savings account is a different story. I take one whole paycheck every month, and put it in there.

It does seem like too much work for him to have to give you money. You guys should know what your monthly bill payments are per month, plus or minus a few dollars, so expect to pay that every month, and expect to have the money available every month. It would drive me insane if I had to wait for my husband to give me money for bills.
