i know everyone says never wake a sleeping baby, but...
last night DD almost slept through the night since we swaddled her. She started stirring around 3 but didnt really wake up. DH and I were nervous cause she hadn't eaten in so long so I pretty much woke her up to feed her. I have a strong feeling she would have just slept through the night if I hadn't done that. So tonight we'll swaddle her again...if she doesn't wake up should I just let her go as long as she wants? She's almost 8 weeks and BF.

at that age I would definitely NOT wake the baby at night to eat (if she is gaining weight and eating normally during the day of course)...

As long as she is gaining weight and eating well during the day I would not wake her at night!!
DS was not gaining well when he was first born so we had to wake him all night long, as soon as the dr. said let him sleep he slept 8 hours -- and that was at about 6 week old.

woo hoo! thanks ladies!! I hope she'll sleep as well for us tonight  ! I think ALL of us are already becoming swaddle dependent. Hey whatever works right?!

ITA.. I was the same way about this with DD when she was small but since I have learned that she will eat when she needs too!
