I would ask them to stop the ceremony until my child was happy and able to stop crying.
I'm changing my answer to this.

Re: I need to know - WWYD?
No matter where I am, I always have an exit planned out...restaurant, church, events, etc! A wedding absolutely I would not walk out!

Re: I need to know - WWYD?
I would definitely leave.
I probably wouldn't take a newborn to a wedding in the first place. We had a few weddings when DS was a newborn and we left him with our parents.

Re: I need to know - WWYD?
I would leave.
Story:
Abby was still considered a newborn at her baby naming in a pretty conservative temple as part of a very long Shabbat service. On the same day, a child was having his Bar Mitzvah. Abby slept through most of the service which was VERY long. The part in which the boy had to read the Torah (IMO the HARDEST part) had me picking Abby up and leaving BEFORE she MIGHT have cried. I could not steal this moment from this young man who practiced and studied for years. A crying baby would have tripped him and it simply wasn't fair.
I may be in the minority and Id like to think this newborn was invited, but I wouldn't have brought the baby in the first place.
