I posted last week, trying to transition to sippy...

...I cannot believe it, but he's almost off the bottle (I THINK). He's 15 months now and honestly, he never even held his bottle so I was preparing for the worst. We had some bad days, crying, but I gave gave him a bottle here and there...I guess he was happy with that and let me off the hook. I'm so proud of him!!!Chat Icon

ETA: This is me bragging! We're still waiting on the walking thing, but I am happy with the sippy!!! Chat Icon

Re: I posted last week, trying to transition to sippy...

Thank you guys! Love you!

Dawnygirl--He's definitely drinking less millk but I figure that was going to happen with the switch. I started (chmlengr helped me get started!) by taking out his middle of the day bottle. That wasn't so bad. But then I tried eliminating the morning bottle too, that was tough!! By 2pm he was a MESS, just crying and even more adamant not to take a sippy. I kept switching the type I was using, trying anything. But then I listened to some moms here and didn't force it and just gave him the bottle b/c I knew he was thirsty. So just a few days of feeling him out. OH, and I started with his breakfast first (usually we'd do the bottle first). So once we started a few days of the breakfast first it got easier. At first he was not happy at all at eating first but we stuck with it and now, so far so good!! FM me if you'd like!!
