Re: normal? sorry, tmi. blood?
I wouldn't start freaking out yet... its probably still part of your mucous plug. Keep hydrated and keep on eye on your contractions. If you want call your MD but most likely you are either int eh early stages of labor, which can go on for a while, or will be going into labor soon.
If you are concerned call your MD. I would NOT just go to the hospital.
Good Luck!

Re: normal? sorry, tmi. blood?
YAY!!! I definitely think you little hippo will be making his appearance very soon. Did you have an internal recently? I had one at the hospital the other night when I "thought" I was in labor and I had like a light period for a few hours. She said that was normal. If the bleeding got more intense, I would have had togo back to the hospital. Definitely keep timing those contractions and make sure you keep drinking lots and lots of fluids. Please keep is posted!!!!

Just talked to my Mom. (YourMom. hah)
She called the office because she thought these post replies would make me panic. hahahaha
She said this is how her labor started with me. she had dull contractions and blood one morning…went to the dr, she was 2cm with bulging membranes. He told her to sit back for a while longer, and that blood is normal as the membranes start to bulge. I was born 2 days later.
this was me. i had a very light pink discharge two days before the baby was born. NO contractions (except mild menstrual like cramps) until 2 days later and boom--- i went right into labor.
I would call the dr. but i think they are mainly looking for regular contractions and may just tell you to wait it out.
good luck...i hope it's soon!

Re: normal? sorry, tmi. blood?
Sounds like a good start to me! I wouldn't worried about being far from the hospital. As long as you have someone to drive you if necessary, you'll be fine.
Do I take your order for Green Cactus hospital delivery now?

i'm the most impatient person in the world. if i was home, i'd be pacing, going out of my mind. sitting at my desk is keeping me busy. but i'm still pretty anxious. hahaha
