I don't mean to say this to upset anyone but do you all notice a pattern in your young babies?
This is normal infant behavior. Once they get a little bit older I promise it will get better. As Michele stated crying is the only way they have to communicate with you. Once they start to really babble and eventually talk they can let you know exactly what is wrong. Remember that they spent almost 10 months in a really warm and snuggly place and then all of a sudden that place is gone. The more you follow their clues on what they need/want the happier your baby will be as he/she reaches into toddler hood. I swear it will get better.
I have to agree with this. Miranda is so much better at 5 months than she was at 2 and 3. It does get baby and I stand firm in my belief that you cannot spoil a newborn. This is how *I* feel though and each parent is entitled to their ideals and have to figure out what works for them. For me tending to all of Miranda's needs immediately I feel has created a baby that now rarely cries unless she needs something. Again JMO. This is part of why I can't believe for us CIO for her night wakings is the answer. She really isn't high needs overall so I feel like if she wakes up crying she needs something.
Steph I wish I had a magic answer for you. I know its exhausting, I have been there. Is there anyone that can give you a break once in a while to get some sleep? do some shopping? Get a manicure?
I started getting out a couple of nights a week for some me time as soon as DH got home from work.
I do hope it gets better for you, I really do.
