I think my pregnancy is starting to effect Ava...need advice.

Well I think she is finally starting to understand that a new baby is coming and even though she seems super excited (she talks about the baby all the time) I think it's starting to effect her in a negative way. The past few weeks I have noticed that she is very clingy...she is always asking for kisses and hugs and telling me she loves me. She is even starting to act like a baby....sucking her thumb, asking to be rocked like a baby, and talking in a baby voice. She is also having a lot of accidents in her pants which I feel like she does for attention. She asks me to stay home from work all the time too. Last week, she begged me to stay home. She asked my why I had to go to work and I said, "to make money" and she replied with, "Well I wuill share my money with you from my piggy bank". Of course this broke my heart and i cried all the way to work. Anyway, later that day I got a call from her teacher saying that she has been very defiant and also pulled a little girls hair. I was shocked! Ava has never tried to hurt anyone before. Do you think she did it because she was mad and wanted me to stay home? Is she looking for negative attention?
Thanks for letting me share! I guess I just wanted to see if anyone else went through this and if they had any advice.Chat Icon

It sounds like it may be due to the new baby coming. I think all the things you mentioned sound totally normal and I am sure she will "snap" out of it

can you maybe have a special day, just you and her, take her to friendly's or the park?

good luck, I am NOT looking forward to this Chat Icon
