I feel like I am a shy when it comes to posting. Lately I have been forcing myself to post more. I find half of the time I type out a reply or post and then I read it and feel stupid. So I just don't push the reply button.

I can't speak fr LIF, because I rarely post here, but on LIW there are and always have been people who are afraid to disagree with what their "group of friends" says.
That's aprt of the definition of a clique.
and there have always been people with whom others are afraid to disagree.... it completely exists.

Totally.
Just being friends doens't make a clique. Being afraid to disagree and excluding people who disagree is what makes a clique.
If people are nice and are themselves, there's nothing to resent or even call a clique

It's not. If you are afraid to speak your own opinions, that's your problem. I was just saying the definition of a clique. And some people truly don't want to deal with people who don't agree with them on certain things, or worship them..hence the exclusion...

The BEST was when someone got ****** off at me over something a loong time ago and was like "I'm sorry I supported you on that other thread!"
it's like, what, you want to change your opinion on a totally separate topic because you don't like me now?
That's what bothers me.
I think if 5 different people post the same question, they will get 5 diffrent sets of answers, meanwhile, an opinion should really be an opinion, right?

As per shorty's LIW thread...there are definitely queen bees around who have to be right
and the prevailing opinions go in cycles. Now you're spoiled if you're having a big wedding, a saturday night wedding, a may wedding, 2 or more favors, a band, or you're not paying for it yourself....
I don't remember this ebing the prevailing opinion a year or more ago

That they actively IGNORE the individual personalities that actually exist and put them in this "clan"...

maybe it does appear that everyone agrees whe they don't because 1) friend probably agree with each other more than they don't and 2) if your friend posts something completely bad or something you don't agree with, you might word it more nicely, or address it in an FM, or handle it differently than if it's a random person, or someone you don't like. So things might appear to be cliquey when its just the natural ties of firnedhsip..but what I'm really talking about is what i said before, people who are afraid to post in opposition to the majority, or the percieved leader. I'm sure we've all gotten the "I won't write this on the baord but..." FM, especially in the super drama days of LIW

hmmm...lets see....
1. i had a saturday night wedding
2. i had 2 or more favors....
however,
1. i did NOT have a may wedding
2. i did NOT have a band
3. we paid for our own wedding...
guess that makes me a HALF SPOILED BRAT!!
