I don't respond only if what I say is going to be repetitive and/or unnecessarily negative.
There's no point in saying " I really, really hate that".
I don't get that opinionated about most things on here, and if I do then I will definitely respond.

I guess I shouldn't be surprised to hear what's going on on LIW now...what the majority opinon is but I am a little. Getting called a spoiled brat for having a Saturday night wedding? It'll flip around again... before you know you you'll look "cheap" if you have a friday night wedding.
Anyway, the dynamic is definitely different here when it comes to posting opinions on things like Red said (a dress, for instance). I feel I can be honest more freely here and people aren't so uptight. But, I agree with what alot of other people said (uh-oh!) in that I won't post a negative opinion if someone already BOUGHT something because there's really no point and all that comes of it is possibly some hurt feelings and it appears as though they are really just looking for validation that they made a good choice.

If I don't respong to a post, it's either because I
1) read the thread too late, it's already a couple of pages back and don't feel it necessary to be bumped
2) My opinion is already stated by numerous people who answered the thread
3) I just don't have a strong enough opinion on the topic, being that I don't really care much about it or haven't had enough experience on the topic.
But, as a newbie I do not really see a clique as other people posted. A lot of people are more friendly with each other and might post the same response, but friends usually have the same opinion and they have stronger bonds b/c they know each other longer.
I imagine I will get very close to a couple of ladies here as timepasses and I post more.
And I joined this forum to ask questions to receive honest answers. I like to see other people's opinions. It makes me think harder. THat is why I love the current event topics that are posted

Sometimes, it's a matter of taste. Something/somplace etc. might be perfectly fine but not for me. No point in asking.
I also don't respond to something if I think that I can't be very clear in my response. It's too easy to be misconstrued. And sometimes, it's just not a topic I know enough about. (i.e. ttc related things)

But seriously though!
Sometimes it seems like a competition for who is on the smallest budget. It's my wedding day. The only one, and I don't want to be cheap about it. If you're calling me spoiled, it's probably because you're JEALOUS!
ok I feel a little better now!
ETA: Please tell me you agree with me..not because I need you to join my clique, but because these girls really try to make me feel like shi* sometimes, if I am spending more money than they are.....

That's so true, Jen. I almost can't handle it there sometimes....
For right now on LIF, I just don't respond because I'm still feeling everything out. That and if I can't say something constructive or positive, I'd rather be quiet.
