As a possible McCain/Palin voter, no I would NOT vote for her on her own. If she came back in many years with some good experience behind her - I would vote for her then bc I do share most of her views.
But McCain is 72! She could be president sooner than we think!!!

Lol this actually makes me laugh. Alot of people on the boards dont like her because they view are as being to extreme. Meanwhile Barack a similair candidate on the opposite end of the spectrum is just as extreme. go figure. I wonder how many people here would still hate her if she was pro-choice.
I don't think Barack Obama is extreme, he actually leans too far to the right for my liking.
I honestly don't care if any candidate is pro-life or pro choice..it's not the deal breaker for me, but it's likely that if she were pro choice she'd have different views on sex education, etc, so she'd be a vastly different candidate on the whole.
To far to the right? Sen. Barack Obama, D-Ill., was the most liberal senator in 2007, according to National Journal's 27th annual vote ratings. The insurgent presidential candidate shifted further to the left last year in the run-up to the primaries, after ranking as the 16th- and 10th-most-liberal during his first two years in the Senate.
Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton, D-N.Y., the other front-runner in the Democratic presidential race, also shifted to the left last year. She ranked as the 16th-most-liberal senator in the 2007 ratings, a computer-assisted analysis that used 99 key Senate votes, selected by NJ reporters and editors, to place every senator on a liberal-to-conservative scale in each of three issue categories. In 2006, Clinton was the 32nd-most-liberal senator.

Atleast she has proven she will go after both Democrats and Republicans if she doesn't agree with their policies. Unlike Obama who has proved he can speak well in front of a teleprompter.
I didn't start the poll so that we could compare candidates. I started it to see if people would vote for her if she were running for president - because fact is, she very well could be our president in the future.
Well guess what, Obama has a better chance.

I am not going to vote based on the possibility that someone is going to die though. He is 72- he could very well be the president for 4 years and STILL live another 14+ years well into his 90s like his mother. He could outlive ME for all I know. . . or he could pass in a few days. . .

Very true, but I think McCain's choice of running mate is more important because of his age and health history. I know ANYTHING could happen, which is why whomever you're voting for, i think you do have to think that the running mate could become president.

I would definitely not.
I don't think of her as a "global citizen". I don't believe the US needs an "executive" leader at this point in time. I believe we have alienated far too many countries with that type of administration. It's time to have someone in office who can work with other nations toward common goals.

I agree. It really irks me that people are already putting McCain on his death bed. I don't think age or gender should be an issue.

It's very true - except he didn't have a medical history like McCain's. But, it's also true that Obama could get run over by a truck tomorrow (and he just quit smoking in 2007).

I'm concerned more with the international issues at hand. I don't believe Palin has proven to work well with elected officials domestically. The question asks has nothing to do with McCain.

Uhm yeah. He threatens to beat them up sometimes. That's really reaching across the aisle.
Anyway to answer the question, hell no. She is too far right for my blood, but I'm also basing this on the interview she gave last night. That did not show she either has the knowledge or the intellect to be president of the U.S. IMO. And I agree, she is not a global citizen at all. I see us as a very isolated country, fighting many small wars at once and winning none under her leadership.

I'm too young! I was 7 when he left office!
But that isn't a fair comparison IMO bc I have had family members that showed signs of alzheimer's in their 50s!
